Why Provide Soup At The Office?
Soup is a great anytime snack or a quick meal. If your employees have short breaks or lunches, providing soups for their snacks and meals can be a huge morale builder. Are they on their feet all day? Do they work 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts and get breaks just long enough to heat up a bowl of soup of wolf it down before going back again? If so, then soups are a great option. For meals or snacks.
Snacks: Is It A Better Option?
Many snack foods are unhealthy. Chips and snack bars taste good, but you’ll be contributing to unhealthy eating habits. Do you really want to do that?
Crackers, granola bars, popcorn, oatmeal, muffins – these snack foods are a healthier choice in many ways. And they can be prepared quickly and eaten on the fly as employees come into the break room for their short breaks and lunches.
Of course, not everyone is the same. Different strokes for different folks. Some people would prefer a chicken soup while others would prefer oatmeal. Muffins are great for breakfast, but will the person who likes to start his day with a muffin want the same thing for lunch? Probably not. That’s why it’s good to offer several options.
If your employees experience long days at the office or in the field, then why not provide them with soups and snacks? Give them more options and you’ll have a happier and more productive work force. As long as you’re on the morale boosting kick, you might as well do it the right way. Right? So cover your bases.
